Borghese Mineral Makeup – Eye Shadow & Liner
I have looked at this product off and on for a while, and with the Christmas party season coming up decided to take the plunge and try it out. The product is actually packaged as Kirkland Signature (Costco’s ‘home brand’) and is ‘By Borghese’.
It contains a Mineral Eye Shadow Palette of eight (8) different shades & Mineral Eye Definer Duo of Black/Brown and is on the shelf for $9.97
– Paraben, Talc, Oil & Fragrance free; – Opthalmologist & Dermatologist tested; – Includes two (2) synthetic dual ended applicators
– Paraben free; – Opthalmologist & Dermatologist tested; – Includes sharpener
Best of all this product is not tested on animals.
So far I have tried a few of the eye shadow colours and the liner. I immediately liked both- the first day I used the eye shadow was a 35 degree (Celcius) day, and the shadow stayed put extremely well with little if any creasing after 6+ hours outdoors. I was also impressed with the pencil liner-this was soft enough to go on smoothly but not so soft it crumbled or went on thickly.
I’ve never been huge on using applicators – I tried the ones it came with and they seem ok, but I dont have a lot to compare them. The case has a mirror inside, and the closure on the case is very secure, making it handbag friendly although a little large to take everywhere (well maybe if you have a big handbag).
As for comparisons – the Borghese website has small 3-colour eye shadows at USD$33.50 and eye pencils for USD$21.00
For such a cheap price this is a great addition to your summer make-up kit and definitely something I will buy again.
