Costco Cos Lettuce Hearts come in a sealed bag of 6 and cost just $5.99. They are stripped of all the outer leaves but present a nice clean lettuce that still has plenty of leaves. They are always really fresh and keep for ages – interestingly they also seem to lack the toughness/bitterness that you get with Cos from the supermarket. They are a ‘Product of Australia’.
We go through at least one bag a week -they are great for lunches. They are also the best lettuces we have found for one of our favorite meals – Ceasar Salad…these lettuces with chicken, parmesan, free range eggs, and Cardini’s Ceasar Dressing are a fantastic meal that is bought entirely from Costco.
