Costco Wholesale Australia often stocks some quality beauty products at great products. I assume they achieve this through what would be considered ‘grey import’ channels, but I am not sure that matters as if you are not happy with anything that you buy from Costco you can take return it with little fuss.
One of the the items they are stocking is an Elizabeth Arden Millenium Renewal pack. This pack includes a 75ml Day Renewal Emulsion, a 15ml Eye Renewal Cream and a 50ml Night Renewal Cream. At Costco’s Australian stores they are selling for $40.99.
Here are a couple of online prices from internet retailers as a comparison (excluding shipping where applicable):
- StrawberryNET.com – 75ml Day Renewal Emulsion – $36.00; 15ml Eye Renewal Cream – $38.50; 50ml Night Renewal Cream – $43.00. Total = $117.50
- Graysoutlet.com.au – 75ml Day Renewal Emulsion – $35.50; 15ml Eye Renewal Cream – $43.00; 50ml Night Renewal Cream – $42.50. Total = $121.00
So the pack at Costco is siginifacantly cheaper for these products than their online competitors, to the point that you would cover the cost of your membership and still save money at Costco.
Having said that, Deal Direct has a 4 piece Elizabeth Arden gift pack for $49.95 excluding postage. It also includes a Millenium Hydrating Cleanser, so I would consider this a competitive alternative to the Costco offering, but you will have to factor in some postage on top of that price (eg. $7.95 to suburban Melbourne).
