I had a look at Ringwood yesterday and they had a Sony HDRPJ230PK with a bag for $269.97 and a Panasonic HC-V520M with a Joby Gorilla Pod, Lowepro bag and extra battery for $449.99. Perhaps the Panasonic might squeeze in to your requirements but I am not sure where you are setting the low point. With the Sony ending in .97 is means they are on the way out so perhaps a repalcement line may come in soon but you never know with Costco.
I was also going to get the prices on the DSLRs they had just in case that was an option for you to also use the video mode, but it completely slipped my mind while I was there.
